Once upon a time...

Once upon a time… I was traveling by plane and got stuck in Helsinki because of a freaking snowstorm. While I was drinking my extremely expensive and disguising coffee with cream at a crowded airport  cafe an old man came up to me. The guy was kinda strange. He was wearing an expensive but old custom-made-looking suit and was carrying a staff with screaming woman’s head on the top. He asked me if he could sit at my table. At first I was a bit afraid but then I said to myself “what the hell, I have to wait for my plane 5 more hours and the freaky guy might be a good company”.  It was not long after that he started telling me extracts from different tales and stories. Finally he asked me if I would like to hear the original version of Bluebeard fairytale. I was of course intrigued. When he was telling me the story I thought that it sounded like a crime chronic but told in a really fluent and literary language. It was only a bit later that the old man told me that he is obsessed with fairy tales about serial killers. I passed the rest of 4 hours before my plane listening to the most horrific fairy tales about freaks and maniacs and it was then that I had the idea to do a photo series about the “BadTime stories”. I passed all my flight sketching these photos.
